Daffodil Print Media has printed folding cartons, labels and retail packaging in Karur since 1999, on machines we own and operate ourselves.
From 1999 to now
The business began in Karur in 1999 as an offset press taking commercial work. What has changed since is not the trade but what the floor can hold to — and packaging buyers judge a printer on exactly that.
A Komori New Lithrone NL528 was installed in 2006 and still runs the work: five colours plus a coater with inline UV, in one pass, at 15,000 sheets an hour on a sheet up to 520 × 720 mm. Plates are made computer-to-plate, so the file that is approved is the file that goes on the press.
Cutting, lamination and die-cutting were brought onto the same floor rather than sent out. An Itotec Robocut guillotine cuts to 1143 mm, two manual platens die-cut up to 889 × 1143 mm, and gloss, matte and soft-touch lamination is done here. Board is printed up to 450 GSM and finished to 4000 GSM.
Monthly capacity on that floor is 5,00,000 sheets.

InfrastructureHow we work
Print, cut, laminate and die-cut happen in the same building. Nothing is sent out mid-job, so colour holds between stages, lead times stay short, and one company answers for the result.
Start to finish in one unit
Pre-press, print, cutting, lamination and die-cutting are all ours. A job is not handed between three suppliers with three different ideas of the colour.
Priced against your dieline
We quote on the cutting plan, board and quantity you send, not on a catalogue size. Sheet layout is planned to your carton, so the sheet is paid for once.
Checked through the run
Colour matched to your guidelines at make-ready and pulled again at intervals through the run. Die-cutting registered to print marks, so panels align and the box forms square.
Where a partner does it better
Rigid and set-up boxes supplied to order, in partnership with specialist manufacturers — quoted, checked and delivered by us alongside the printed work.
Where a decoration process is job-worked rather than run on our floor, we say so at quotation. The machine list on the Infrastructure page is only what is in this building.
